The digital message repeater shall include a built-in amplifier and speaker. It shall be possible to
record messages with built-in microphone or upload from computer via USB. A motion sensor
shall be included for automatic activation. The motion sensor detection range shall be approx. 3.0
m with detection speed of approx. 0.3 – 1.5 m/s. The unit shall accept SmartMedia memory cards
with one 32 Mb card included for six minutes of CD-quality digital storage. The maximum number
of messages shall be 4 (messages: 2, BGM: 2). The maximum recording time shall be approx. 3
min (when 16 MB, 3.3 V SmartMedia). A CD-ROM tone library and USB cable shall also be
included.

Specifications shall be sensitivity of 90 dB (3 W, 1 m), frequency response of 200 – 10k Hz (-10
dB) and distortion of under 1% (rated output). The recording system shall be USB data transfer or
analog recording. The audio file format shall be WAV-type, 44.1k Hz sampling frequency,16 bit
PCM (monaural). Selectable playback interval times shall include continuous, 0 sec, 5 sec, 10
sec, 30 sec, 1 min, 5 min, 10 min, 30 min or 1 hour (selectable). The speaker component shall be
8 cm cone-type. Audio input shall be Mic: -40 dBV, 2.2k ohms/Line: 0 dBV, 10k ohms, (switchable
Mic/Line), unbalanced, mini jack. The built-in electret condenser microphone shall be -44 dBV,
2.2k ohms. Features shall include control input (1 input, external activation: 200 ms pulse make
system, interruption: make/break system. no-voltage make contact input, open voltage: 3.3 VDC,
short-circuit current: 1 mA) with removable terminal block. LED Indicators shall include Message,
BGM, Recording and USB. Operating controls shall include message selection, BGM selection,
sensor ON/OFF, recording selection, playback mode, power, mic/line, playback interval,
equipment identification, recording, message and BGM volume.

The power source shall be AC mains, 50/60 Hz supplied from AC adapter with power
consumption of 10 W at rated output of 3 W. Finish shall be ABS resin, silver and dimensions (W
x H x D) shall be 5.7“ x 7.7“ x 3.98“ (144 x 195 x 101 mm) and weight shall be 1.87 lbs. (850 g).

The digital message repeater module shall be TOA model EV-20A.
The wall/ceiling-mount bracket shall be TOA model C-BC31.
