TOA Canada Corporation in conjunction with TOA Corporation wishes to extend its deepest condolences to those affected by the Earthquake and Tsunami off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake which occurred on March 11, 2011.
As of 2:00 pm on March 14, the extent of damage and effect on operations of TOA Corporation and group companies (in TOA’s Japan offices) are as follows:
1. Extent of damage
There has been some damage to a number of sales offices in the Tohoku region. However, these offices will cooperate with nearby offices to resume operations as quickly as possible.
2. Effect on operations
Operations are normal at all sales offices with the exception of Koriyama office where operations have been disrupted by the earthquake. Customers of the Koriyama sales office will be contacted by another nearby office.
TOA Canada Corporation has been informed that our operations, including overseas factories and shipping have not been affected and our business will continue as usual.
Thank you for your concern about the situation in Japan resulting from the recent earthquake and Tsunami. TOA Canada recognizes the level of concern our friends in the industry have for the residents in the affected areas. We are not soliciting donations for relief measures, however some of our dealers have inquired about what can be done in this regard. TOA Canada Corporation is not set up to collect and forward any charitable funds from other companies or individuals. We encourage each person or dealer to make any donations to the Canadian Red Cross and specify that this is for relief efforts in Japan. Canadian banks are set up to take these donations.
