TOA Canada Corporation a subsidiary of TOA Corporation, will be announcing the launch of its VM-3000 next-generation Emergency Voice Evacuation System at Infocomm 2012. The VM-3000 is the culmination of TOAs 50+ years of experience providing voice evacuation solutions for venues throughout the world (including the 2008 Beijing Olympics)!
The VM-3000 is an integrated system, incorporating a paging matrix/mixer with DSP, digital messaging, a priority microphone and power amplifier/zone selection. An easy-to-use GUI programming interface (for MS Windows™) provides simple setup and configuration via Ethernet. Designed to suit small to medium sized applications such as schools, office buildings, industrial facilities and shopping centers, the VM-3000 can expand to cover as many as sixty paging zones with a maximum of 3,600W (@ 70V) and can even broadcast background music sources. The VM-3000 system also allows for integration with fire and life safety systems, redundant power amplifier line supervision and includes multi-level priority override from local or remote paging sources. Already bearing the EN-54/16 certification label, the VM-3000 will also carry UL2572 certification (which complies with new NFPA72 2010 standards governing such systems) when it becomes available later in 2012.
Says TOA Marketing Manager, Bob Tamburri; “TOA intends to position the VM-3000 as a more cost-effective voice notification solution, which will offer flexibility and easy implementation, while meeting all the necessary requirements. Paired with TOAs UL-rated wide-dispersion paging speakers, which provide even coverage and high intelligibility, it should be an attractive choice for both traditional AV and F&LS integrators”. Available models will consist of the VM-3240VA & VM-3360VA System Amplifiers with 240W & 360W @70V respectively, the VM-3240E & VM-3360E Expansion Amplifiers, the VM-300MF Fireman’s Microphone, and VM-320F Fireman’s Microphone Extension.
